Maria’s annual pilgrimage series of retreats focusing on the feminine way of being and living, she is taking us to her home land of Puerto Rico and onto the small island of Vieques just a short ferry or airplane ride away. The hotel is located on a hill with wonderful cross-ventilation, surrounded by luscious vegetation and the soothing symphony of the native Coqui frogs. Being on one of the highest points of the island provides us with an amazing view of sunrises and sunsets. The island has hardly any light pollution, which creates the perfect atmosphere to see the stars at night. Under the right clear-sky conditions, even the Milky Way becomes visible for stargazers to admire.
The guest rooms all provide private facilities, air conditioner, beach & bath towels, basic kitchen utensils, and a lot of personal touches.
Rooms have been carefully decorated with local vintage furniture, some from family and dear friends who know their ‘old furniture had a second chance to shine. Other pieces are from amazing finds around the main Island. The artwork has been carefully curated to create a beautiful narrative with space.
Every room is a little universe of its own and carries the spirit of a special person.
Sylvia Demarco, owner of La Finca and a dear friend and mentor of Maria’s, has named each room after important people in her life who have collaborated and enriched her life beyond words. Each room is an homage for each individual and has been decorated and put together with love, intention, and careful thought.
the ayurvedic therapies
The Apothecary is part of Finca Victoria dedicated to their Ayurvedic services. In this herbal pharmacy, they rescue old "grandmothers" Puerto Rican remedies, as well as classic Ayurvedic formulas. Their therapists integrate the medicine of our local plants, spices, and herbs into the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda. There will be several different services to choose from that you can enjoy during your free time at the retreat. These services are optional and not included in the price of the retreat.
the janzu water therapy experience
This experience has been called a “rebirth” by many who have experienced it. As you flow and become one with the element of water you enter an altered state of consciousness. This process brings you to a complete physical and mental relaxation. Aquatic headphones provide a truly immersive experience as tranquil music is pumped directly into your ears. You get to disconnect from the world and connect to the depths of your inner waters.
Many have mentioned recalling being in the womb and feeling completely cocooned in love. Included in your retreat experience is a group water therapy experience. Individual sessions will be available for you to book with two amazing facilitators during your free time at an additional cost. After Maria experienced this herself she knew she had to start to implement this healing therapy in all her retreats. It is a healing modality that complements the deep work we will be doing together.

These tucked-away 2 story treehouses are as cute as can be. On the first floor, you’ll find a comfortable half bathroom and sitting area. Climb on the industrial staircase to the bedroom. Here you’ll find a Queen bed and floor-to-ceiling glass doors ready to be opened so you can feel the cool Caribbean breeze and sea views. These treehouses have an outdoor shower, kitchen, and patios with hammocks for you to enjoy spectacular views of our luscious gardens. **Must be comfortable climbing steep stairs in room as shown on picture which lead to bedroom.

A spacious studio-style room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows allowing natural light to come in. Lindsay’s Greenhouse has an indoor kitchen & half indoor bathroom. Its private double outdoor showers face the jungle. Our favorite features are a reading nook in the glass room and its cozy outdoor terrace with a high bar where you can sip your morning coffee overlooking the lush Finca gardens.
Lindsay, the finca’s first staff member before the hotel opened, has covered all of the positions at Finca from gardener to manager and now she runs our impressive wellness center & Panchakarma program. One of her strengths is cooking is nourishing ayurvedic meals, she has also designed every single herbal tea that you will enjoy throughout your stay.

A unique room inspired by the essence of a wooden treehouse. It sits elevated at tree top height, and is surrounded by trees and a small papaya grove. This room is perfect for besties, sisters or a mother-daughter duo since it has a king bed, and will need to share. This Treehouse has a lovely outdoor shower and a spacious floating deck with outdoor kitchen.
Before the airbnb era, Sylvia tested her hospitality by hosting people at her house and Sahar happened to be one her first guests. This started a beautiful friendship journey between the two that still stands strong. The sweetness of the treehouse represents the warmth and floralness of Sahar’s essence.

The Invisible Treehouse

This Invisible Treehouse was designed as an open tropical loft. On the first level you have a a super comfy sofa that turns into a queen bed with an indoor bathroom, vanity, and a gateway to an outdoor shower surrounded by lush greenery. The downstairs queen sofa will be made with all the same love as the upstairs bed, just know that it will be in the open space. The second story hosts a queen size bed and hidden balcony. The outdoor terrace has a spacious deck, a dinning table and fully equipped kitchen.
Fun Fact: The structure is nestled in nature and materials have been selected carefully to blend with their surroundings. The use of black wood, two-way mirrors and slanted roofs create the impression of a non-existent form. Therefore its name: Invisible Treehouse.

Corky’s House

This wonderful two-story home has enough space for each goddess to find her own little sanctuary. One of our favorite areas of this house is the large living room that overlooks the terrace with the outdoor kitchen. The upstairs bedroom has a small balcony but with big ocean views, while the other bedroom has been built in a greenhouse-style with an impressive double outdoor shower.. just wait and see! This is a two floor apartment 'walk up style' with two sleeping areas, outdoor shower and terrace. The first floor is the living room which converts into a sleeping area and has a balcony. The bathroom is located on the first floor.

The Island of Vieques
There is something really magical about this unique island where wild horses roam free! You can find the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world here as well as beautiful beaches.
Ladies in the past have decided to either arrive early or stay a couple days after retreat to enjoy what this island has to offer. If you decide to explore more of Vieques just let Maria know and she will connect you with a fabulous transportation company as well as recommend places to stay.

Closest Airport - You will have to fly into San Juan International Airport. I recommend that you arrive the day before and rest before the day of the retreat. The ferry ride will only be for Monday, 10 June at 1pm. It is recommended that you are in San Juan by 10 am on Monday in order to catch the ferry transport. You can schedule a complimentary call with Maria to ask any questions you may have.

Maria Brito is a women’s empowerment coach from the island of Puerto Rico and has made her home in Huntsville, Alabama. Lovingly called by her closest as Mama Maria, she is also known as a soulful shadow walker and a passionate ceremonialist of life. Her focus is assisting women in the journey to connect to what needs to be healed within in order to create space for what they want to manifest.
Maria reminds women that each phase/season of our lives is a rite of passage and should be honored and celebrated in the most sacred way. She believes that we all have the magnificence to provide healing to our own bodies. Through her programs and workshops, she provides women with tools to empower themselves to be the "cura" (healing) for their inner shrines.
Maria is also a certified RYT-500 yoga instructor and educator in the lineage of Tantric and Kundalini yoga. She infuses her workshops with ancient practices and tools which assist her clients in dealing with anxiety, depression and fear-based mentality. I loved having been at two beautiful settings, both so different from each other. It was great to start at the beach, I feel like it was a great place to let go of so much pressure we put on ourselves daily and release negtive energy, stress and insecurities. Then, at the mountains I felt so filled up with energy, calmness and pure joy. I had a lot to work through myself, so I was a bit emotionally exhausted the first two days, also listening, holding and struggling with all the additional emotions that were shared by everyone else, but at the same time truly grateful and appreciating that everyone was so authentic, open, honest and supportive. I will definitely remember the wonderful yoga classes, the workshops, the peaceful and supportive atmosphere, the beauty of the space and the wonderful, powerful, strong women I met. I recently attended Maria Brito’s Nourish the Goddess Retreat in Puerto Rico. As a woman, a mom, wife and boss, I was craving an opportunity to replenish myself, connect to nature and learn what I did not know or had forgotten along the way.
First…. Maria. A loving soul, deeply connected to her feminine energy and power. She is unapologetic and fierce. She is a healer. Every detail throughout the four days was arranged with such love and care by Maria and her amazing assistant, Alina. Maria created a loving and safe space to share our deepest wounds and fears, followed by beautiful experiences that reminded each of us how powerful we truly are, individually and together. This is what I knew… I was feeling depleted and disconnected, going through my days on auto pilot. I wasn’t experiencing much joy or opening myself up to new adventures. I was feeling tired and stuck.
This is what I experienced… Four days in beautiful Puerto Rico at a serene retreat center, free of distractions. Delicious food, attentive staff and beautiful accommodations. A group of women, in different phases of life, all searching. I explored the child within. I laughed. I cried. I danced. I sang. I connected. I rediscovered my truth.
This is what I learned…I am not alone. Caring for myself is not selfish, but necessary. Connecting with women is powerful and invaluable. I am strong. Everything I need is within. I love me, all of me.
